45/180, “Feeling Batty”

Homemade baked tortilla chips shaped like bats flying over an O. green oak lettuce leaf with a side of WF’s Organic Salsa. Mandarin orange sections sprinkled with TJ’s Jumbo Raisin Medley, O. black bean graveyard with a tofu headstone. O. cucumber stars, O. cauliflower “brains”, O. red pepper strips, black olives, and TJ’s Manzanilla Olives. In lieu of a sweet today, she gets a little “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” cut-out. I’m taking homemade vanilla cupcakes with a TJ’s Halloween Joe Joe nestled in the chocolate buttercream icing into her classroom this afternoon for her class party. So, with one of those, plus the treats the other parents are providing…I think she’ll survive without  an edible treat in her lunch.

I can’t believe it’s Halloween already! Didn’t we just start school? We’ll head out tonight to take our little “Ghost of Cleopatra” out Trick or Treating. Wishing you all a safe and warm holiday, Happy Halloween!
